Guardian Instance

A Cloudhouse Guardian (Guardian) instance is the software package that is required to run the Guardian platform. Depending on what deployment method you choose, on-premises or Cloudhouse-hosted, the subsequent set up requirements will vary. For more information on appliance maintenance, see Appliance Maintenance.

Deployment Solutions

When deploying your Guardian instance, you can choose between the following hosting options:

Option Description
Cloudhouse-hosted Your Guardian instance is hosted and managed by Guardian. The instance is automatically set up in our cloud-hosted location, no set up is required.
On-premises

Your Guardian appliance is deployed as a virtual machine, either behind your own firewall or via your chosen cloud-hosting provider, and managed by Guardian. You are required to provision the virtual appliance and configure the networking, DHCP, static, and hostname information and work with the Guardian Team to finalize the appliance set up.

Cloudhouse-Hosted

For Cloudhouse-hosted deployments, your Guardian instance will be automatically set up in our cloud-hosted location. Once it has been set up, you will be contacted by Guardian Support to set up an account for your instance. This can take up to one week.

On-Premises

For on-premises deployments, you need to provision the virtual appliance required to deploy your instance of Guardian, see Virtual Guardian Appliance for more information. Once you have provisioned and configured the virtual appliance, you are required to notify your Cloudhouse Representative so that they can arrange a meeting to install and configure the application.
